How We're Paid
Last updated: July 27, 2026
VaultPilot is free to use. We earn revenue through two primary sources — and we're transparent about both.
1. Affiliate Commissions (Primary)
When you click a link to a financial product on our site and open an account, apply for a card, or take another qualifying action, we may receive a commission from the provider.
- Cost to you: $0. The provider pays us, not you. The rates and terms you receive are the same whether you use our link or go directly to the bank.
- What it covers: Savings accounts, CDs, bank bonuses, credit cards, and personal finance apps.
- Who pays us: Financial institutions we partner with, through affiliate networks like Commission Junction (CJ), Impact, and ShareASale.
2. Display Advertising
We may display advertisements on the site. These are clearly labeled as ads and do not affect our editorial content.
Does This Affect Our Recommendations?
No. Our rankings and recommendations are based solely on objective criteria:
- Rates and APYs
- Fees and minimum requirements
- Features and accessibility
- Terms and conditions
We do not accept payment for positive reviews, placement in rankings, or specific mentions. We may earn more from some products than others — we do not let this influence our evaluations. See our Editorial Policy for our full methodology.
How We Identify Affiliate Links
Every article that contains affiliate links is clearly marked at the top with a disclosure notice. You'll see it before you reach any product links, so you always know when a link may earn us a commission.
